In a proactive move towards digital transformation, SugarTech empowered the public sector of San Mateo, Rizal, by digitizing and streamlining the operations of its local government offices. Under the leadership of Mayor Bartolome Rivera, the municipality advanced to the forefront of change by centralizing and automating the processes of assessing and collecting real property taxes, as well as processing business permits and other licenses.
Through the Real Property Tax Administration and Collection System (RPTACS), one of SugarTech’s several income-generating systems, the local government simplified and automated the management of over 89,000 real property units. The system, developed following the specific requirements of San Mateo, Rizal and the Bureau of Local Government and Finance (BLGF), enables efficient transaction recording, automated generation of statement of accounts (SOAs), and comprehensive data reporting.
Meanwhile, the Electronic Business One Stop Shop (EBOSS) is being deployed to facilitate the application, tracking, and issuance of business permits and other relevant licenses in the municipality. This system allows for convenient operations, enhanced transparency, and efficient cross-departmental collaboration. Local business owners also benefit from efficient remote monitoring through client portals and quick on-site walk-in services via self-service kiosks.
Both systems play pivotal roles in accelerating San Mateo’s digital transformation. By adopting SugarTech’s solutions to streamline operations, San Mateo serves as a precedent for other municipalities. These advancements establish a new standard in public service and electronic governance, positioning the company and municipality as models of innovation.
As one of the leading consulting and solutions companies for local government units, SugarTech is deeply committed to its vision of realizing a fully digitized country. However, the company’s role in San Mateo’s journey toward digital transformation is only but a cornerstone in the foundation of a centralized and innovative future for the nation.
